Vineyard A stunning hilltop vineyard
Nestled in the Vaca foothills, our vineyard is a sight to behold.
From the moment we saw it, we knew this was the place. Sunlit slopes rising from 230 to 330 feet above our neighbors. Rocky, loamy soils blanketing the land. Panoramic vistas of the valley unfolding beneath. Here on the east side of the Napa Valley AVA, our 12 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon and 3 acres of Merlot are living in luxury.
An unmistakable spirit
Photos hardly do this place justice, but our wine captures its very essence. Sharp rises in elevation evoke different characteristics from each block, while well-draining soils stress the vines into producing dark, densely flavored fruit. With soft sunlight and cool breezes in equal measure, the site allows grapes time to ripen slowly, developing deep complexity.
In short, it’s a vineyard unlike any that surround it—yielding wines with the richness and texture that define the valley floor, plus the power and concentration that come with elevation.

Farming with intention
When you have a special piece of land, you need to manage it thoughtfully. After bonding with Matt Hardin over our shared passions of farming and football, we knew he was the guy for the job. A sixth-generation Napa farmer, he understands the value of a family legacy, and his team is one of the most forward-thinking full-service vineyard management companies in the region.
The HVM team farms vine by vine, fine-tuning their approach based on each vineyard’s needs—an approach that they employ in some of Napa Valley’s most acclaimed vineyards. Matt has worked in tandem with Thomas Rivers Brown on projects across the valley, so their process is seamless, leaving the thread between vineyard and glass unsevered.
