Martlet A Symbol Carried Forward
The martlet featured on every McCoy Family Estates bottle is drawn directly from the McCoy family coat of arms.
It is a traditional heraldic symbol, selected not as decoration but as a reflection of family history, values, and approach. In heraldry, the martlet is depicted as a small bird without feet. This design is intentional. A martlet is never meant to land. It represents restlessness in its purest form, defined by forward movement, self-determination, and a life guided by purpose rather than comfort.
Our Family Connection
These qualities closely mirror the McCoy family’s history, which is defined by stewardship, responsibility, and the belief that meaningful things are built deliberately over time.
When establishing McCoy Family Estates, the martlet was a natural choice. It reflects both lineage and intent, with respect for what came before paired with an uncompromising commitment to progress, refinement, and continual improvement.
